Troubleshooting & Frequently Asked Questions

Registering Your Device with Pastebot Sync:

The passcode input is not showing up in Pastebot Sync.
Make sure both your Mac and device are on the same network. Your device should be connected via wifi.
I registered my Mac and device successfully, but they don’t seem to be connected.
Try turning Pastebot Sync off and back on. Also, check to make sure wifi is working on your device.

Using Pastebot Sync:

When I copy something from Photoshop, nothing happens.
Photoshop doesn’t send items to the operating system’s clipboard until it loses focus. To send a copied item from Photoshop, you need to select another application or the Finder after copying.
When I try to paste back to the Mac, I hear a beep and nothing happens.
The application in focus may not accept the paste action in that location. Make sure you are pasting in an app that accepts text and/or images.
Pastebot Sync is copying items I don’t want on my device. How do I prevent that?
Just quit Pastebot on your device and Pastebot Sync will stop moving your copies over. If you need to run Pastebot, but don’t want them to sync, you can temporarily disable Pastebot Sync from its icon in the menubar.
I copied a large image over to Pastebot, but the image was resized on the device. What if I wanted to paste the full size back to my Mac?
For performance reasons, images copied to your device are resized if greater than 1600x1600 pixels. However, the original data is still stored. It’s just not displayed in Pastebot. As long as you don’t edit the image in Pastebot, you’ll be able to paste the original size back to your Mac.
