It’s hard to believe that it has been over a year since we started working on our little Twitter client. During the time, Twitter didn’t have a native client. It was about 2 and a half months after when they decided to purchase Tweetie for the iPhone. It came as quite a shock for us and many remember us writing a blog post announcing our work on Tweetbot as well as questioning its future. Well fast forward a year and here we are launching our most anticipated app!

Some of you have been wondering what we have been up to for the last few months. Our last blog post was in August so it’s not surprising. Unofficially, you may have heard that we were still slaving away at a mysterious twitter client for the iPhone that would never see the light of day. Well I’ve dusted off this old blog to publicly announce that Tweetbot, our little Twitter client with a lot of personality, is finally in beta!
So what does this mean? It means all of the features are complete and we are now focusing on performance, fixing bugs, and polishing up this little robot for his upcoming debut on the app store. Unfortunately we don’t have a release date, but we are really close! If you want to get the latest updates on Tweetbot, be sure to follow us on Twitter. Thanks for all of your support.

However, we also hoped that someday Apple would allow multi-tasking in some form so Pastebot could finally work how we truly intended it to. Being able to run in the background has been the biggest feature request from our customers.

It’s been a crazy couple of months over at Tapbots. Between potential lawsuits, Tweetie getting acquired by Twitter, and Apple releasing iOS 4 (and the iPhone 4!), we’ve been working on a little bit of everything. But being busy is a good thing. All of our apps are now iOS 4-ready and optimized for the retina display. And what our customers seem to want the most is our upcoming Twitter app. Yes, it’s coming…but not today.
Today is all about a tiny project we’ve been working on for the iPad (and iPhone).

Ever since the iPad came out our number one support question has been, “Can I sync more than one device with my Mac at the same time?” The answer as of Pastebot v1.2 is, “Yes you can.”
