Last night we submitted our latest app to Apple. Assuming everything goes well, we should be going live sometime next week so we figured it was a good time to have a little fun. So I did a search on the AppStore for Rolando to see what the buzz is all about. As part of that search I noticed some totally unrelated apps (which I won’t name them here). Looking at the description of that unrelated app I noticed the following bit of content:

There’s been a lot of bitching lately about the Top 100 list and $0.99 apps and I’m sick of it. The way to make a successful app is conceptually very simple.

Bonjour, Guten Tag and Ciao. One of the main features of Weightbot 1.2 is localization for other languages. Right now we are planning on doing French, German, Italian and Japanese. We’ve got Japanese covered but we need help with the other 3. It should be fairly simple work if you speak any of those languages, its only ~75 simple strings, a few sentences and the product description in iTunes. Benefits include getting a hold of Beta builds before anyone else and well that’s it.
